Hi, Just wanted to say a massive thank you to all the staff at the CRGH for giving us our beautiful baby daughter. She is gorgeous, healthy and is doing really well! My husband and I can't thank all the staff there enough. You are all so supportive, friendly and compassionate. This experience could have been so difficult but the CRGH staff made us feel so at ease and cared for. Any concerns were always answered honestly and help was always available at any time. If needed, we look forward to coming back for our next baby! Thank you all again, from the bottom of our hearts. You have made our dream of having a baby come true. This letter is to express our heartfelt thanks for the treatment that we received at the CRGH during 2008. Our beautiful, perfect daughter was born in February this year, the result of our first round of IVF. She is the light of our lives, every day we look at her and know how lucky we are to have her, and how much we owe to the science and the scientists at your clinic who made her birth possible. ...
... Of course the reason for our success is very clear to us. Your staff and clinic regard each patient as an individual, and tailor treatment accordingly, with great precision. We were surprised at first by the number of tests, investigations and so on, but clearly they did the job. We could see, all the way along, that CRGH was providing the best possible medical treatment and that was hugely reassuring. In fact, it was this knowledge that we were getting the very best care that made the IVF treatment itself less stressful than the anticipation of it.
It was the professionalism of your staff that made the most challenging situation of our lives as comfortable as it could be. It is probably impossible to make IVF an easy thing to go through ... but your staff were friendly, professional, clear and honest throughout, and that made all the difference in the world. We never received anything less than superb care and treatment at ACU. ...
... we have no trouble at all in telling people that ours is an IVF child and exactly how the process worked. And of course we always tell people who are contemplating fertility treatment to head straight to your clinic, so please keep up the good work!

I want to write to thank you for all your support through the dark, difficult days where we thought our lives might remain childless. We are now in the supremely fortunate position of having 2 beautiful children thanks to the CRGH.
The staff's support throughout the process was invaluable; at no time did we feel like a 'number' but we were treated as individuals and supported with compassion and importantly, frank assessment by the doctors, nurses, embryologists and admin staff alike.

Dear Mr Serhal and staff at CRGH,
We are delighted to let you know that we recently became the proud parents of beautiful twin girls after a successful IVF (ICSI) cycle in your unit.
We came to CRGH in January 2007 after several failed treatment cycles. After 3 years of trying to conceive, we felt physically, emotionally and financially drained.
We had our initial consultation with Dr Vivienne Hall who was sympathetic to our situation and allowed us to commence treatment straight away. Having come from a very small gynaecological practice, we were initially overwhelmed with the amount of people being treated in the unit, the often lengthy, nerve racking waits in the waiting room and the lack of anonymity.
However, we were pleasantly surprised at the speed, efficiency and warmth of the staff at your unit and very quickly overcame our concerns. The nurses were always friendly and supportive. We felt comfortable to approach them at anytime and as often as we liked. The sonographer was gentle and encouraging and always gave us the time we needed to fully understand what was happening.
We were totally taken aback, however, with the sheer dedication and commitment of the embryologists. We lived for those early morning phone calls updating us on the constantly changing state of our embryos. Every team member that we spoke to was incredibly caring, sensitive and patient. They ensured that we fully understood what was happening and what we were aiming for. We were never given a false sense of hope yet we really felt that the staff were rooting for us and keen for our treatment to be successful.
On the day of the embryo transfer, we were so happy that Mr Serhal was to be carrying out the procedure. You created such a calm and light atmosphere around us with your kind manner and good sense of humour. We found ourselves giggling like school children and actually enjoying rather than disliking the experience!
As is usual in fertility clinics, we discovered that we had conceived very early on and at 6 weeks learned that we were expecting twins. ... At 32 weeks I was admitted to hospital with pre-eclampsia and at 33 weeks my waters broke!
We are so incredibly grateful to you all for everything you have done for us. You have made our dreams come true.
