Our History
Mr Paul Serhal started the Assisted Conception Unit in 1990 with a small team of specialist doctors, nurses and embryologists. At this time we were based in the Rosenheim Building under the auspices of the University College Hospital.
Mr Paul Serhal started the Assisted Conception Unit in 1990 with a small team of specialist doctors, nurses and embryologists. At this time we were based in the Rosenheim Building under the auspices of the University College Hospital.
Our continued research and development within the assisted conception field soon meant that this small clinic was gaining a reputation for excellence within the field. Collaboration with the Genetics Team at University College Hospital has led us to become world-class leaders in the pioneering of new techniques for Pre-Implantation Genetic Diagnosis (P.G.D.)
The Unit was awarded a Millennium Products Award for our innovative G-Test, which has now been succeeded by the Ovarian Stimulation Test (O.S.T.)
As our reputation and success continued to grow it soon became apparent that we had outgrown the clinic and a move to bigger premises was in order.

We are now situated within the Eastman Dental Hospital in a purpose built clinic over two floors. We can now boast our own private Theatre and a state-of-the-art laboratory and treatment rooms utilising the latest scan machines. We continue to work tirelessly in researching and implementing new protocols and techniques to reflect the most up-to-date treatments.
As our clinic has changed and grown and become a world leader in reproductive and genetic healthcare we felt that it was time for the name of our clinic to reflect the growing and changing field within which we work.
The Centre for Reproductive and Genetic Health is still managed and staffed by our specialist doctors, nurses and embryologists. Nothing has changed and patients should still expect to received the same expert care and attention as they have since the first clinic was started in 1990.
