FAQs


  • Embryo transfer, DET/3DSIS, Endometrial biopsy: Patients coming in for these procedures will require a full bladder.
  • Theatre procedures: For all theatre procedures fasting is required from midnight the night before.
  • 3DSIS/Hycosy: You may take Paracetamol 30 minutes to 1 hour before these procedures. Please do not eat for four hours beforehand.
  • Semen analysis: When booking for this procedure please remember to abstain for 2-3 days.
  • Cryopreservation of semen: Before proceeding with this, all blood results must be clear. Tests required are: HIV, Hep B, Hep C and Chlamydia.

Out of office hours


Emergency


If you are experiencing any severe symptoms you should go to your nearest Emergency Department or call an ambulance on 999. Once there, your doctors in the Emergency Department can then contact our on-call doctor on the on-call mobile. 
Such symptoms include but are not limited to:

  • Heavy vaginal bleeding during pregnancy
  • Acute and severe onset of pain
  • Chest pain
  • Shortness of breath
  • Severe allergic reaction

Urgent


If you have any urgent questions which if not addressed during out of office hours would have a significant impact on your safety, well-being or the success of your treatment ask to speak to the on-call doctor using our out of hours on-call mobile number.

Please do not call the on-call mobile to book appointments or discuss any matter which can be safely postponed for discussion with your own consultant or a nurse the following day.

During Office Hours


Appointments / General


Call 020 7837 2905 and speak to a receptionist to book any appointment or make a general enquiry. If you are not sure who you need to speak to, one of our receptionists will be able to direct you.

Accounts


Call 020 7837 2905 and ask to speak to a member of our Accounts Team to discuss any invoices, costs and payment matters.

Nurse


Call 020 7837 2905 and ask to have a message passed on to our dedicated message nurse who will get back to you by the end of the day. Do this if your enquiry is regarding:

  • Dates for your treatment
  • Medication
  • Blood test results during stimulation or early stages of pregnancy
  • Minor vaginal bleeding during pregnancy
  • Dates of treatment / Treatment cycle length

Consultant


Call 020 7837 2905 and ask to speak to your consultant if your call is regarding: 

  • Your treatment plan
  • The results of your baseline studies
  • Your next step in treatment. 

(Note:  If your consultant is unavailable a message will be taken and your consultant will endeavour to get back to you by the end of the day. The consultant will only be available to talk to you or call you back regarding one or a few specific questions.  Please book a follow-up appointment for any more comprehensive discussion of your treatment/investigations.)

Embryologist


Call 020 7837 2905 and ask to have a message given to an embryologist if your call is regarding: 

  • Fertilisation of your eggs
  • The progress of your embryos
  • Storage of sperm, eggs or embryos 
  • Transfer of frozen sperm, eggs or embryos to or from our unit

If your call is not regarding any of the above, please speak to one of our receptionists who will pass your message onto the appropriate staff member.
