Before we embark on an IVF/ICSI cycle we need to check if it is easy to perform the embryo transfer procedure as in a few cases, this can be difficult to do. Determining this before the real transfer prevents any unexpected problems. For this, a catheter is placed through the cervix into the uterus. If problems are encountered, there are some alternations to the procedure that can be performed.
